This week’s blog is a day late…and for the very best reason.

The last few days have been filled with family, laughter, homemade treats, and watching one of my daughter’s biggest dreams come true. As I sit packing for another adventure (I’m heading to Tastefully Simple’s National Conference tomorrow!), my heart is so full that I just had to share a little bit of this special week with you.

So, welcome back to this week’s 3 Bites from Cathy’s Kitchen!

🥖 Cathy’s Pantry Pick

Bountiful Beer Bread

Before heading into Manhattan for the week, I wanted to bring a little piece of Cathy’s Kitchen with me.

Whenever I stay with family or friends, I love arriving with something homemade instead of something store-bought. This trip, I baked a loaf of Bountiful Beer Bread and an Almond Pound Cake filled with fresh blueberries to share with my family on Long Island.

It was the perfect hostess gift!

The funniest part? My cousin laughed and said they made the perfect Long Island Rail Road snack as we traveled back and forth into New York City each day. 😂

Food has a way of bringing people together, whether you’re gathered around the dinner table or sharing a slice of fresh bread before catching a train.

🥖 Want my favorite Beer Bread gift ideas and serving suggestions? Grab a Beer Bread Mix, and I’ll send you some of my favorite ways to gift it!

💡 Kitchen Hack of the Week

Bake Your Gifts

Need a hostess gift?

Visiting family?

Want to thank a neighbor, teacher, or friend?

Skip the candle or gift bag and bake your gift instead!

A warm loaf of bread or a homemade pound cake says, “I was thinking about you,” in a way that few gifts can.

Wrap it in a pretty kitchen towel, tuck it into a basket, or simply tie it with a ribbon. It’s thoughtful, affordable, and something people truly enjoy.

Sometimes the simplest gifts leave the sweetest memories.

❤️ Around Cathy’s Kitchen

If you’ve followed Cathy’s Kitchen for a while, you know my family means everything to me.

This week, we traveled to New York City for an incredible opportunity for my daughter and her dance team.

I had the joy of watching her dance on Broadway, participate in Broadway workshops led by Disney performers, and even perform in the middle of Times Square!

But my favorite moment of all?

Watching her be fitted for her very first pointe shoes.

As this dance mom watched her slip them on for the first time, I couldn’t help but think of Cinderella trying on her glass slipper. It was one of those moments you wish you could freeze forever.

While my daughter stayed in Manhattan with her team, I had the best of both worlds. I spent my evenings with family on Long Island and took the Long Island Rail Road into the city each day to cheer her on. And even made one of my Bucket List things to do come true – I went to the
FRIENDS EXPERIENCE – believe me, if you are a FRIENDS tv show lover, put this at the top of your list to do in NYC!

It was a week filled with dreams coming true, precious family time, and memories I’ll treasure forever.

✈️ One More Exciting Adventure…

As if this week wasn’t exciting enough…tomorrow I’m packing my bags again!

I’m headed to Tastefully Simple’s National Conference, where I’ll get a first look at exciting announcements, new ideas, recipes, products, and inspiration that I can’t wait to bring back to Cathy’s Kitchen.

🎉 Be watching this weekend! I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes updates, exciting news, and maybe even a few surprises along the way.
