There’s something about August that feels like a fresh start.
Summer isn’t quite over, but we’re already thinking about school schedules, packed lunches, busy evenings, and how we’re going to get everyone fed when the calendar starts filling up again!
So this week, I’m bringing you a product that is BACK and ready to make your kitchen life a whole lot more delicious.
Welcome to this week’s 3 Bites from Cathy’s Kitchen!

Bacon Pepper Jam Is BACK!
If you’ve never tried Bacon Pepper Jam, let me just say…

You are in for a treat. π
This sweet, savory, slightly smoky jam is one of those products that makes you wonder how you ever lived without it.
And the best part? There are SO many ways to use it!
π§ Keep it simple: Spoon it over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. Instant appetizer!
π₯ͺ Level up grilled cheese: Add a little Bacon Pepper Jam before you grill your sandwich. Trust me on this one.
π₯© Make amazing meatloaf: Mix it into your favorite meatloaf recipe or use it as a glaze.
π Breakfast bake: Add it to a French toast bake for an unexpected sweet-and-savory twist.
And that’s just the beginning!
It’s no wonder this favorite has been missedβand I’m thrilled to say Bacon Pepper Jam is BACK!
Want some ideas for your jar? Reply to this email or send me a message, and I’ll share some of my favorite Bacon Pepper Jam recipes!

The Back-to-School Sunday Reset
Before the backpacks come out and the school buses start rolling, give yourself a little head start.
Pick ONE hour on Sunday and practice your prepping of few things that will start to create a Sunday Night Meal Prep. What should you start with? I’m glad you asked…
βοΈ Make a Veggie Bin – wash, cut, dry and put together a veggie bin that is ready to go with grab and go veggies for snacks or for dinner prep
βοΈ Plan 2 meals that are family favs and post it on the fridge – it will get the family off your back about asking what is for dinner bc it is posted!
βοΈ Get kids in the kitchen! Get your kiddos involved or ask a neighbor’s kid to help – bake muffins or cookies or even beer bread. Then freeze these goodies until you are ready to enjoy
You don’t have to meal prep your entire week.
The goal isn’t to spend your Sunday cooking for hours. It’s simply to do a few things now that Future You will be very thankful for at 5:30 PM on Wednesday. π
That’s my kind of meal prep!

Giving Back…and Getting on the Green!
This past weekend, I did something I’ve never done beforeβI played in a golf tournament! β³
Now, I’m not sure anyone is going to be asking me to join the LPGA anytime soon π, but I had an absolute blast!
One of my favorite parts was getting to see my Cathy’s Kitchen-sponsored hole and, of course, getting a photo with it.
There’s something really special about being able to take what I do through Cathy’s Kitchen and use it to support the community I call home.
Whether it’s sponsoring a local event, donating products, participating in fundraisers, or simply showing up and supporting other local businesses and organizations, I love finding ways to give back.

My business has given me so many opportunities to connect with people, and being able to turn some of that into support for my community is something I don’t take for granted.
And yes…I may have discovered that golf is a lot harder than it looks! π
But I’d absolutely do it again.
